Service in liturgical ministries -- those that add to the reverence, joy, and fullness of Mass -- is of great importance at St. Rita Parish.
Altar servers assist the celebrant and the entire worshipping community during the celebration of the liturgy of the Mass, during special liturgies, and during the celebration of sacraments.
Starting in 4th grade, parishioners can serve as altar servers. The only true requirements are having made one's First Communion and having a sincere love of God. Altar servers get a behind-the-scenes look of the liturgy, learning about and leading the congregation in the actions of Mass.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priests and deacons in the distribution of Holy Communion. This ministry is most clearly visible at Mass, but it is also powerfully displayed by bringing Communion to the sick and homebound.

Tasked with reading the Sunday selection from the Old Testament and St. Paul's epistles, the lector leads the congregation in hearing God's Word and, thus, stirring it into action.
Lectors also offer a warm word of greeting at the beginning of Mass and keep parishioners informed of archdiocesan news and parish events through the reading of the announcements.

The Music Ministry provides music for our liturgies, both regular Sunday, as well as Holy Days and special activities throughout the year.
Under the direction of Angelo Lupinetti, the 10:30am Mass features additional vocal accompaniment. To volunteer your voice in prayerful service to God, please contact our Music Director.
Ushers assist with the celebration of the Mass by greeting and seating Mass attendees, taking attendance counts, assisting with collections, coordinating the proper receiving of Holy Communion, and distributing any necessary literature at conclusion of the Mass.
